About Me

I’m a recent animation graduate with a huge passion for bringing stories to life through 2D and 3D animation! I fill my life with Japanese animation and love of Nintendo games, which both fuel my creative fire.

Beyond this screen, you’ll find me connecting with friends, whether we’re meeting up to go to an arcade or having a movie watch party, or playing games and getting creative together online.

Every year, I jump into the community-built Artfight event with newfound vigor, relishing the chance to stretch my artistic muscles and experiment with new characters and artistic styles. I’m always keeping an eye on new animated film or TV releases in order to absorb new inspiration and learnings from the newest leaps in the animation scene.

Having lived in three different states and with a lifetime of travel under my belt, I thrive on new experiences in new places. I’m ready for wherever animation takes me! I’m eager to bring my energy, dedication, and passion for animation to the next exciting opportunity.

Demo Reel

Here is my work as a student at University of Texas at Dallas.

Included in my reel is part of my senior capstone project, After Dark Arcade, that I worked on solo and presented in-person at UTD’s Arts, Humanities and Technologies Capstone Celebration.

  • I liked Texas so much I came back for a second go-around! Meanwhile I took a sabbatical in Philly to see the smaller-than-I-thought Liberty Bell, followed by a stint in Memphis where I got to see my extended family more often.

  • In my quest to avoid the central part of the United States of America, I have stepped outside an airport in California, New York, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and many more!

As a part of my international exploits, I almost fell to my death in Jamaica! In Mexico I survived Hurricane Emily! I rode a pirate ship and a submarine in Grand Cayman! I learned how to navigate the Tokyo subway labyrinth without accidentally ending up in Hokkaido! I almost stepped foot in Canada, but didn’t have a passport so I had to settle for staring at it from across a big waterfall.

  • I grew up playing Pokemon and Kirby, and I still love them because they make my heart happy.

Amazing story-telling that has stuck with me is The Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, Code Geass, Teen Titans, and Avatar the Last Airbender.

I continue to be inspired by the art direction of Delicious in Dungeon and Kubo and the Two Strings

I could go on for days about each of these works, but suffice it to say they all stand above the rest in my mind, and I would watch them a million times if I could. Just one example is Disney’s Atlantis for its strong character design and art direction, clean expressive animation, and unique, bold storytelling. It was a very impressive early use of 3D animation in combination with 2D.

Here’s the rest of my A-list: Mob Psycho 100, Spiderverse, Puss in Boots the Last Wish, Pixar’s Ratatouille (the ride at Epcot was amazing too).
